The Department of the Interior and Local Government Regional Office 02 (DILG RO2) through the Local Governance Regional Resource Center (LGRRC) received seventy (70) senior Bachelor of Arts in Public Administration (BAPA) students from Isabela State University (ISU) Echague campus headed by Ms. Joan Carinogan, DPA last September 22, 2017 at DILG Conference hall, Regional Government Center, Carig, Tuguegarao City.


The visit which was aimed to supplement classroom instruction in various dimensions of public administration and governance was achieved through a knowledge sharing forum. Local Government Monitoring and Evaluation Division (LGMED) Chief Digna R. Herrera welcomed the students and professors by emphasizing that the department is blissful to have idealistic students eager to know the dynamics of the department. Also present was LGCDD Chief Elma M. Urbina who shared insights on how different technical divisions work hand-in-hand in implementing a number of programs, projects and activities in achieving the outcomes of the department. Also discussed with the visitors were the organizational structure, core programs and how DILG RO2 works using the LGRRC principle of convergence, knowledge management and innovation. An open forum was also conducted to cater questions for clarification.
The said visit strengthened the partnership of DILG RO2 with LRI-ISU in various programs of the department, such as Citizen Satisfaction Index system (CSIS) and Local Economic Development (LED) interventions for LGUs.- LGOO V Ive B. Saludez
