
SAGUDAY, QUIRINO – To promote community development, the Local Government Unit (LGU) of Saguday invested its FY 2022 Seal of Good Local Governance Incentive Fund (SGLG-IF) in constructing a multipurpose building.
The 208 sqm, two-story building was constructed to host seminars, training sessions, and other public gatherings for the benefit of the Saguday community.
The inauguration and turnover of this SGLG-funded building took place on June 20, 2024 coinciding, with the 65th Araw ng Saguday and Pagay-Pagay Festival celebrated last June 20, 2024.
The inauguration was graced by officials from the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Region 2, led by DILG Quirino OIC-Provincial Director Karen Joy C. Pablico-Castro, Cluster Head Michael E. Camacam, and representatives from the Regional and Provincial Project Development and Management Units (PDMU) of DILG Region 2 and DILG Quirino.
A simple ceremonial ribbon cutting was led by Saguday Mayor Jerry M. Pagbilao, with the assistance of MLGOO Abraham C. Cariazo, other local elected officials, and functionaries.
After the inauguration, the DILG officials and personnel conducted an onsite inspection of the ongoing construction of two cottages funded through the FY 2023 SGLGIF at the Saguday EcoTourism Park.
