Tuguegarao City, July 30, 2024 – The Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG), Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP), and Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP) Regional Offices 2 participated today in the Kapihan sa Bagong Pilipinas. This event was organized by the Presidential Communications Office (PCO) through the Philippine Information Agency (PIA) to present the accomplishments of various government agencies and enhance public understanding and engagement with their programs and projects.

The activity, facilitated by PIA Regional Office 2, was attended by the press, media partners, and representatives. Some of the key programs and projects featured by the DILG included the Seal of Good Local Governance (SGLG), Support to Barangay Development Program (SBDP), KALINISAN, Bantay Korapsyon, Enhanced Comprehensive Local Integration Program (ECLIP), and Dagyaw Town Hall Meeting. During the event, ample time was allocated for the press, media partners, and representatives to raise questions to the guest agencies, fostering an open and interactive discussion. The program featured the synchronous participation of all DILG, BFP, and BJMP regional offices through their respective PIA regional office counterparts.
