Tuguegarao City, Cagayan — In line with the nationwide celebration of the Ease of Doing Business (EODB) Month, the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Region 2 has officially commenced the conduct of a National Frontline Services Inspection on May 14, 2025 at DILG Regional Office Conference Hall, Carig Sur, Tuguegarao City, Cagayan. This activity forms part of the Department's continuing efforts to ensure responsive, transparent, and efficient service delivery at all levels of local governance.

The inspection covers two vital frontline services provided by the Department:

  1. Request for the Issuance of Department Authority to LGUs to Purchase Vehicles; and
  2. Request for the Issuance of Certificate of Incumbency of Local Officials.

These services play a crucial role in supporting Local Government Units (LGUs) in the performance of their duties and in promoting accountable and accessible governance.

The inspection aims to assess service efficiency, client satisfaction, and adherence to prescribed processing times under Republic Act No. 11032 or the Ease of Doing Business and Efficient Government Service Delivery Act of 2018. It also serves as

an opportunity to identify areas for improvement and introduce innovations that will further streamline government transactions.

As DILG Region 2 continues to advocate for excellent public service, the Department calls on all LGUs and stakeholders to actively support and participate in the EODB initiatives. Ensuring ease in government transactions remains a shared responsibility that directly benefits the Filipino people.
