SAN GUILLERMO, ISABELA — The Municipality of San Guillermo celebrated the official turnover of a 4x4 pick-up truck purchased through the FY 2024 Seal of Good Local Governance Incentive Fund (SGLGIF) during a ceremony held at the Municipal Hall grounds on June 9, 2025.

The activity began with an opening message delivered by Sangguniang Bayan Member Marilou N. Sanchez, who welcomed the guests and emphasized the importance of sustaining programs that improve local governance and service delivery.

The simple yet meaningful turnover ceremony was led by Mayor Felipe N. Guyud, Jr., Vice Mayor Bernardine M. Lucas, members of the Sangguniang Bayan, LGU functionaries and staff, and other stakeholders of the municipality.

Also in attendance were officials from the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG), including Regional Director Agnes A. De Leon, Officer-in-Charge Cluster Head Cristina B. Somera, OIC-Cluster Head Karla Bernadette M. Aldea-Rollan, Municipal Local Government Operations Officer Glenn Xyrus V. Realin, and representatives from the Regional and Provincial Project Development and Management Unit (PDMU).

In his message, Mayor Guyud highlighted the importance of the SGLGIF and other national government support programs such as the Local Government Support Fund (LGSF) in improving public service delivery. He expressed his gratitude to the DILG for their continued guidance and support, especially in project implementation and overall supervision of LGU operations.

RD De Leon commended the LGU for its consistent and outstanding performance, particularly in complying with the rigorous standards of the SGLG. She also lauded the wise utilization of the incentive fund and took the opportunity to briefly discuss the updated criteria and guidelines for the new SGLG assessment cycle.

Following the turnover ceremony, the team proceeded to inspect the ongoing Construction of the Villa Sanchez Level III Water Supply System, a project funded under the FY 2023 Growth Equity Fund (GEF) amounting to ₱7.8 million.
