Families in Angadanan, Isabela will fret no more when disasters strike in the municipality.

Department of the Interior and Local Government Region 02 (DILG R02) Regional Director Jonathan Paul M. Leusen, Jr., DILG-Isabela Provincial Director Engr. Corazon D. Toribio and Angadanan Mayor Hon. Lourdes S. Panganiban inaugurated the newly constructed evacuation center on March 01, 2018.

The facility was constructed under the 2015 and 2016 Bottom-up Budgeting (BuB) program and municipal counterpart worth P4Million and P2Million, respectively.

During the ceremony, Mayor Panganiban said that she and the people of Angadanan are very thankful to the Department for the support for the construction of the evacuation center.

“Rest assured that the facility shall be maintained and taken cared of so that it will always be available in times of calamities and emergencies”, she added.

Meanwhile, RD Leusen acknowledged the Municipal Government of Angadanan for the successful implementation of the evacuation center.

He reiterated the importance of safeguarding the facility for it will be used during emergencies.

He also said that he expects more support from the Municipality for the implementation of upcoming projects.

Meanwhile, the facility seated on a municipal-owned lot is free from flooding and landslide.

Through the construction of the facility, it is hoped that the capabilities of the Municipality to respond to calamities and to prevent more loss of lives will increase.
