
CITY OF ILAGAN, ISABELA - The Provincial COMELEC Campaign Committee (PCCC) and Provincial Joint Security Coordinating Center (PJSCC) convened on March 23, 2022 to discuss matters relevant to the upcoming campaign period for local candidates.
While the application to conduct campaign activity is already dispensed with in areas under Alert Levels 1 and 2 per COMELEC Resolution No. 10769, DILG Isabela Provincial Director Engr. Corazon D. Toribio, CESO V emphasized that barangay officials should remain vigilant in enforcing the minimum public health standards during campaign activities in their areas of responsibility.
COMELEC Resolution 10769 has amended the Resolution 10732 and now allows campaign activities such as rallies, house-to-house visits, and other gatherings in areas under Alert Level 1 and Alert Level 2 without a permit.
Provincial Election Supervisor Atty. Michael E. Camangeg advised all election officers to relay this matter to the political candidates as well for the safety of the voting public.
Other matters that were deliberated upon were the proposed route plan in the delivery of Vote Counting Machines (VCMs) and the security of the same, national agencies’ preparation for the upcoming national and local election, and updates on the insurgency situation in the province of Isabela.
The members of the PCCC and PJSCC vowed to remain committed in ensuring a Secure, Accurate, Free and Fair Elections (SAFE) 2022.
