The eight (8) projects are among the 20 projects in the province that received funding assistance from the National Government under the NTF-ELCAC for the realization of their priority development projects.
As a derivative of Executive Order No. 70, SBDP aspires to create inclusive and durable peace and development by putting a stop to local communist armed warfare on a national scale. The program started last 2019 when the Department adopted and retooled the Community Support Program of the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) encompassing the whole-of-nation approach by the National Task Force to End Local Communist Armed Conflict (NTF-ELCAC). This paved way for the identification of the main issues in the 17 affected-barangays in the province eventually leading to the determination of projects which have the best potential solution and impact on the development.
All 20 SBDP projects in the province of Quirino are expected to be completed within the 1st Quarter of this year with an estimated total of 9,515 beneficiaries.
