AGLIPAY, QUIRINO – Distance, inclement weather, and mucky mud did not stop the officials and personnel from DILG Quirino from inspecting the Support to Barangay Development Program (SBDP) projects in Barangays Nagabgaban and Alicia in the town of Aglipay on January 18, 2023.

The inspection team was led by no less than Provincial Director, Salvacion Z. Baccay, together with LGOO II Austine Junel Madamba and Engr. Lester Ephraim Cabrillos of the Provincial Project Development and Management Unit (PPDMU). The team was accompanied by members from the Municipal Engineering Office, Engr. Vergel C. Madrid and Ms. Christian Joy Baltazar.

Following endorsement from the NTF-ELCAC and release of fund to eligible LGUs, the SBDP projects (Concreting of Farm to Market Road) were inaugurated and started implementation last November 2022. The inspection ensured that the projects are in accordance with the prescribed design and national standard pursuant to provisions of the FY 2022 GAA, RA No. 11639.

The road projects are expected to benefit residents and students in Purok 2 of Alicia and Purok 4 of Nagabgaban combining to more or less a hundred households.

The findings of the inspection team were then later communicated to the municipal mayor, Hon. Jerry T. Agaslda through the Municipal Local Government Operations Officer, Ms. Rowena R. Gulguway, for immediate action.

The SBDP is a hallmark program of the NTF-ELCAC, established with the end goal of bringing development to former conflict ridden communities through the implementation of sustainable rehabilitation and development projects while ensuring that formerly neglected rural communities are provided with long-standing quality government services.
