SAN MATEO, ISABELA - The Local Government Unit of San Mateo, Isabela inaugurated its concreted Barangay Roads with Drainage System funded under the 2022 Seal of Good Local Governance Incentive Fund (SGLGIF) at Salinungan West last October 10, 2023.

The upgraded local access road will provide access to transporting farm products in the barangay particularly for farmers and fisher folks and improve mobility of the residents in the area. A total of 6,051 beneficiaries will benefit from the project.

PD Toribio, Mayor Pua, and RD De Leon cut the ribbon as a symbol of the blessing and inauguration of the SGLG funded project.

The inauguration and blessing was graced by Regional Director Agnes A. De Leon of the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Region 2 together with Provincial Director Corazon D. Toriobio of DILG Isabela. San Mateo Mayor Atty. Gregorio A. Pua led the inauguration.

RD De Leon delivers her message to the constituents of San Mateo, Isabela reminding them to maintain the inaugurated project for the benefit of the residents in Barangay Salinungan West.

The SGLG funded project was implemented in April and was completed last August 2023.

The SGLGIF is an institutionalized award, incentive, honor and recognition-based program that aims to boost LGUs' commitment to continuously progress and improve their performance along various governance areas.
