TUGUEGARAO CITY, CAGAYAN – In a bid to champion the cause of saving lives, the Department of Interior and Local Government Region 02 (DILG R2) conducted a successful Blood Letting Activity on February 13, 2024, at the DILG Regional Office Conference Hall for the maintenance of DILG R2 Blood Account at CVMC Blood Bank. Teaming up with the Cagayan Valley Medical Center (CVMC) and the DILG R2 Employee’s Union, the initiative yielded an impressive collection of twenty-seven (27) bags of blood.

On behalf of the DILG Regional Director Agnes A. De Leon, Chief Administrative Officer Ive B. Saludez conveyed her heartfelt gratitude to the invaluable partners and generous blood donors who contributed to the success of the event. She underscored the profound impact of blood donation, highlighting its role in preserving countless lives.

Emilia Ancheta, the representative from CVMC, delivered a comprehensive briefing to participants, elucidating the crucial steps to be taken both before and after donating blood. This informative session ensured that donors were well-prepared and informed, maximizing the effectiveness of their contributions.

Attended by a total of forty-eight (48) participants hailing from the Philippine National Police, Bureau of Jail Management and Penology, Bureau of Fire Protection, CVMC, and DILG R2, the Blood Letting Activity proved to be a resounding success. The enthusiastic participation from various agencies and institutions underscored the collective commitment to making a tangible difference in the community.
