TUGUEGARAO CITY, CAGAYAN — The DILG Regional Office 2, in partnership with the Philippine Health Insurance Corporation (PhilHealth) Regional Office 2, conducted an orientation on the updates of the Universal Health Care (UHC) during the Monday Convocation on February 26, 2024 at the Conference Hall, DILG Regional Office 2, Regional Government Center, Carig, Tuguegarao City, Cagayan.

The primary objective of the orientation was to update all DILG RO2 officials and personnel on Universal Health Care, particularly on the premium rates and the reason for its increase. Senior Insurance Assistant I Yvette L. Pauig and Senior Insurance Officer I Catherine L. Domingo served as the resource speakers for the orientation.

Ms. Pauig’s presentation focused on the objectives and importance of Universal Health Care, individuals covered by the UHC and membership, the updated premium rates through the years, and penalty and interest rates due to delayed payments. At the same time, Ms. Domingo answered all the queries of DILG RO2 employees regarding Universal Health Care and KonSulTa: Konsultasyong Sulit at Tama.

This partnership between DILG Regional Office 2 and PhilHealth Regional Office 2 paved the way for ensuring that all personnel know their access to affordable and quality healthcare services.
