TUGUEGARAO CITY, CAGAYAN – In celebration of the National Women’s Month, The Department of Interior and Local Government Regional Office 2 (DILG R2) launches Men Opposed to Violence Against Women Everywhere (MOVE-ment) at the DILG R2 Conference Hall, Tuguegarao City, Cagayan on March 27, 2024.

With a primary objective to eradicate Violence and Discrimination Against Women, all Men of the DILG Regional Office and Provincial Offices pledged to oppose Violence Against Women Everywhere led by the Assistant Regional Director Elpidio A. Durwin, CESO IV.

On his opening remarks, ARD Durwin encouraged all Male Employees to be active agents in promoting gender equality to catalyze a society free from discrimination and violence against Women.

In support of the MOVE-ment, all Male Employees of the Provincial Offices and R2 Divisions danced to Zumba Para Kay Juana, signed the pledge of MOVE-ment, and prepared hand gestures to trademark the pledge to oppose Violence Against Women.

As this feat marks the first-ever launching of MOVE-ment of DILG Region 02, ARD Durwin extended his gratitude to all DILG R2 employees for actively participating in this program and all of the activities conducted in support of the Women’s Month Celebration in March.
