CITY OF ILAGAN, ISABELA - Twenty-five (25) former rebels (FRs) received the package of assistance from the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) through the Enhanced Comprehensive Local Integration Program (ECLIP) at the Liga ng mga Barangay Conference Hall, Municipal Compound, Sta. Filomena, San Mariano, Isabela on May 17, 2024.

During the awarding ceremony, beneficiaries, who were former members of the Militia ng Bayan, were granted immediate assistance amounting to Php 375,000.00. Governor Rodolfo T. Albano, III led the distribution of checks together with DILG Isabela Provincial Director Corazon D. Toribio, Isabela Police Provincial Office Provincial Director PCOL Lee Allen B Bauding, Second District Representative Hon. Ed Christopher S. Go and Second District Representative to the Sangguniang Panlalawigan Hon. Ed Christian S. Go.

In his message, Gov. Albano assured the FRs of the continued support from the provincial government. This includes a monthly rice allowance for all FRs who are enrolled under ECLIP, employment assistance through the PESO, educational aid thru the BRO-ED program, and housing assistance for FRs who have no houses.

The event highlighted the government’s commitment of fostering peace and development by helping FRs rebuild their lives through sustained support and comprehensive assistance.

Members of the ECLIP Committee from the Provincial Welfare and Development Office (PSWDO), Isabela Coastal Development Office (ICDO) and Public Employment Service Office (PESO) were also present during the activity.
