
June 11, 2024 – Tuguegarao City, Cagayan – The Cagayan Valley Regional Peace and Order Council held its FY 2024 2nd quarter meeting at the Department of Agrarian Reform Regional Office 2 in Tuguegarao City. The meeting was presided over by Vice Chairperson MGen Audrey L. Pasia, Commander of the 5th Infantry Division of the Philippine Army.
In his closing remarks, MGen Pasia underscored the critical importance of collaboration between the government and the community in maintaining and enhancing peace and order in the region. "Walang magmamalasakit at magmamahal sa Pilipinas kundi tayong mga Pilipino. Walang tutulong sa Pilipino kundi kapwa Pilipino," he stated.
The meeting saw the participation of representatives from regional line agencies, local chief executives, and civil society organizations (CSOs). The agenda focused on key issues affecting peace, order, and public safety in Cagayan Valley, including the proliferation of illegal drugs, rising rape cases, insurgency activities, and recent fire incidents.
During the meeting, the Council awarded a plaque of commendation and a token of appreciation to MGen Pasia in recognition of his exemplary service and leadership. This gesture was particularly significant as MGen Pasia is set to retire from government service soon.
