MALLIG, ISABELA – The Municipality of Mallig, Isabela, celebrated a significant milestone with the inauguration of the SGLGIF Food Park, a project aimed at fostering local economic growth and community development. The event, which took place headed by Honorable Mayor Jose Philip Calderon with Vice Mayor Deo Angelo Elefante, joined by the DILG Region 2 Regional Director, Agnes A. De Leon, CESO IV with DILG Regional Office 2 representatives from the RPDMU, also present were Cluster Head Karla Bernadette Aldea-Rollan with MLGOO Alma Grande and Isabela PDMU Chief Joyce C. Habiatan.
On behalf of the Department of the Interior and Local Government, Regional Director Agnes A. De Leon, CESO IV acknowledged the participants and officials present in the program and commended the LGU for passing clean data in the SGLG. The recognition extended to the local government leadership and the LGU's efforts in advancing its local industry.
MLGOO Alma Grande provided a brief overview of the inaugurated project, followed by the message of Hon. Calderon, extending his gratitude to the DILG and to the LGU Functionaries. Hon. Calderon proudly announced that LGU Mallig has been honored with Seal of the Good Local Governance Award for the fourth consecutive time.
“The SGLG Award is not just a trophy and certificate, it is a testament and a reminder for us that our responsibility does not stop with this award . This is a challenge for us to maintain the quality and integrity of our service and commitment to our people, This is not just a Food Park, but a symbol of our contributing and united efforts as an LGU towards a greater future,” emphasized by Mayor Calderon. He also added that the project will empower small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) by providing them with a platform to grow and succeed.
The park offers a supportive environment where local businesses can flourish, offering residents and visitors a diverse range of products and services from food stalls to a leisure of entertainment activities.
