The Municipality of Burgos, inaugurates FY 2023 SGLG – IF Project. The ceremony was joined the Department of the Interior and Local Government Region 2, headed by RD Agnes A. De Leon, CESO IV, along with DILG – Isabela's PD Engr. Corazon D. Toribio, CESO V, Cluster Head Karla Bernadette Aldea – Rollan, MLGOO Arianne Batugal, Joined with the LGU Burgos,Hon. Mayor Isis Dominique T. Uy, and Vice Mayor Ruben Gragasin.

Regional Director De Leon, CESO IV  commended the local government unit (LGU) of Burgos for achieving national entry as an SGLG Award recipient. In her address, she emphasized that the project will significantly contribute to the efforts of the Burgos Isabela Alyansa at Gabay ng mga Kababaihang Kumikilos (BIAGKU, Inc.) in delivering essential services to the community. Overall, the use of the SGLG Incentive Fund will strengthen LGU Burgos’s cultural and socio-economic activities, contributing to the development of their community in support to Bagong Pilipinas.

Provincial Director Engr. Toribio, CESO IV highlighted that the SGLG Incentive Fund serves as a secondary benefit for LGUs that have passed the SGLG assessment. She reiterated that the Seal of Good Local Governance is a testament to the LGU’s unwavering commitment to upholding good governance practices. She congratulated LGU Burgos for this significant achievement!

Mayor Uy recognized the new vehicle as a symbol of the collective effort of the community. She acknowledged the request from the Burgos Fire Station for the purchase of a fire truck and expressed gratitude for the support. “This is not just for me, but for all of us,” she stated, reinforcing the idea that this achievement is a shared success. “Congratulations to LGU Burgos! This is a victory for our community!”

The inaugurated project is set to greatly enhance the municipality's service delivery to the community.
