MARCH 1, 2021 – In order to ensure impartiality in the validation process, a team composed of representatives from the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG), Philippine National Police (PNP), Bureau of Fire (BFP) and Civil Society Organization (CSO) conducted cross-post validation on the compliance of the Local Government Units (LGUs) in the Province of Quirino on the road clearing operations.

TUGUEGARAO CITY, CAGAYAN – During the 3rd Cycle of the Legal Education and Policy Discussion with DILG Officers (LEAD with DILG) initiative held on March 4, 2021, Cagayan Field Officers discussed the provisions of DILG Memorandum Circular No. 2020-153 and formulated a provincial mechanism to capacitate LGUs on protecting the rights of refugees, asylum seekers, and stateless persons – collectively termed as Persons of Concern.

CABARROGUIS, QUIRINO – The DILG Quirino, in collaboration with the Provincial Government of Quirino thru the Provincial Planning and Development Office (PPDO), conducted a two-day synchronized review of the FY 2022 GAD Plan and Budget and FY 2020 GAD Accomplishment Reports of the six (6) municipalities in Quirino on February 16-17, 2021 at the Quirino Watersports Complex, Capitol Hills, San Marcos, Cabarroguis.

The DILG Quirino, thru the Project Development and Monitoring Unit (PDMU), initiated the conduct of a one-day activity entitled “Quirino UPGRADES for LFPs or Upscaling Performance of LGUs through Records and Data Encoding in the SubayBAYAN” on February 11, 2021 at the Quirino Watersports Complex, Capitol Hills, San Marcos, Cabarroguis.

TUGUEGARAO CITY, CAGAYAN, FEBRUARY 10, 2021 – The Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) thru the Local Government Regional Resource Center (LGRRC) Cagayan Valley has entered into an agreement with the different National Government Agencies (NGAs), Civil Society Organizations (CSOs)/ Private Organizations (POs), Local Resource Institutions (LRIs), League of Municipalities and Barangay, and Government Financial Institutions (GFIs) to strengthen synergy and collaboration in implementing local development programs.

LAL-LO, CAGAYAN - DILG Cagayan Provincial Director Ruperto B. Maribbay, Jr. assured the 3 Regular NPA members, 27 Militia ng Bayan personalities, and 5 SPL volunteers who voluntarily surrendered, that the government will not turn its back on them and that it will mobilize state's policies, programs, and resources to assist them in their reintegration to the society. This statement was made by PD Maribbay during the press conference held on January 29, 2021, at the 17th Infantry Batallion Headquarters, Sub-Capitol Compound, Lal-lo, Cagayan. He emphasized the importance of reintegration and reconciliation in brokering long lasting peace and genuine development in the country.

TUGUEGARAO CITY, CAGAYAN, FEBRUARY 10, 2021 - Created through Executive Order No. 120, the DILG, as head of the KRA 5 – Strengthened Governance thru Broad-Based Citizen Input, conducted the organizational meeting on February 09, 2021.
