Using the “town and gown”” principle (the town represents the community and the gown represents the academic institutions), a Memorandum of Agreement was signed between the DILG Region 02 and the five( 5) State College and Universities in the region for the conduct of the Sangguniang Kabataan Mandatory Training.

DILG-Quirino in collaboration with Quirino Provincial Planning and Development Office (PPDO) conducted a two-day workshop on the Synchronized Review of the 2019 Gender and Development Plan and Budget (GPB) and 2017 Gender and Development Accomplishment Report (GAR) of MLGUs on March 21-22, 2018 at the Capitol Plaza Hotel and Restaurant, Capitol Hills, Cabarroguis, Quirino.

DILG-Quirino initiated a three-day activity titled “Workshop on Enhancing the Value of Accountability on Locally-funded projects through Unified Efforts (WE VALUE)” on February 20-23, 2018 at Crown Hotel, Baguio City to improve the current local governance setting particularly project management and implementation in the province. The activity was tagged as the first capacity-building for members of the Project Monitoring Committee (PMC) in the region.

Leusen Jr. commended the Provincial Disaster Disk Reduction Management Counci (PDRRMC)l for the Awarding and Turn-over Ceremony of Preparedness and Response Equipment to Barangay/Municipal/Provincial DRRMCs on January 30, 2018, 1pm at the Capitol Gymnasium, Cabarroguis, Quirino.
