As the rainy season continues, local government units (LGUs) in Isabela incessantly prepare for the possible onslaught of disasters.

Chief executives in the provincial, city and municipal levels were recognized by the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) and conferred the most prestigious award for Local Government Units – the Seal of Good Local Governance (SGLG).

The Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Quirino conducted the MASA MASID Program Orientation to 25 targeted barangays in the Municipalities of Maddela, Diffun and Saguday to capacitate the duly enrolled MASA MASID Teams and Volunteers on their roles in the implementation of the anti-illegal drug program.

As a follow-through activity under the Conditional Matching Grant to Provinces (CMGP) Program, the Department of the Interior and Local Government Nueva Vizcaya Provincial Office, in partnership with the Provincial Planning and Development Office of Nueva Vizcaya, conducted a three-week training on Local Road Network and Development Planning.

Over 126 barangay officials attended the one-day activity titled “FEDERALISMO ATING ALAMIN: Support Towards Informed and Responsive (STIR) Federalism” on November 15, 2017 at DISADECO Conference Hall, Andres Bonifacio, Diffun, Quirino spearheaded by the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Quirino with the primary purpose of increasing people’s awareness on the proposed federal system of government.

The Department of the Interior and Local Government Regional Office 02 (DILG RO2) through the Local Governance Regional Resource Center (LGRRC) received seventy (70) senior Bachelor of Arts in Public Administration (BAPA) students from Isabela State University (ISU) Echague campus headed by Ms. Joan Carinogan, DPA last September 22, 2017 at DILG Conference hall, Regional Government Center, Carig, Tuguegarao City.
